Privacy Policy

This is my personal portfolio website. It exists to show who I am and what I've built. It is deliberately simple, and this policy reflects exactly how it behaves. Nothing more.

Privacy at a glance

• No accounts or logins.
• No forms or user-submitted content.
• No cookies, including the analytics (it is cookieless).
• No personal information is collected about you.
• Privacy-friendly, aggregate-only analytics (Vercel) for traffic and performance.
• The research page shows live stock prices, but your browser never contacts the market data provider. My server does that for you.
• AI-generated media is disclosed separately, in its own section below.

The short version

This site has no user accounts, no forms, and no cookies. It uses privacy-friendly analytics that collects only anonymized, aggregate data, never personal information about you, so there is nothing tied to you as an individual and nothing to opt out of.

What I don't collect

• There are no sign-ups, logins, or user accounts.
• There are no forms. Nothing on this site asks you to type or submit information.
• This site sets no cookies and uses no local tracking storage.

The contact link

The "email me" / "Say Hello" links are ordinary mailto: links. Clicking one opens a new message in your own email app with my address pre-filled. The website itself never receives, collects, or stores your email address. A message only reaches me if you choose to send it from your own email client.

Links to other sites

This site links out to third-party sites such as GitHub, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Once you follow one of those links you're on their platform, and their own privacy policies apply. I don't control and am not responsible for how those sites handle your data.

AI-generated media

The background video in the hero section was generated with Google's AI video tool (Glow), not filmed. No personal data was used to create it: it's a stock-style scene of a laptop opening with code on screen, and not footage of any real person or device.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how many people visit, which pages are popular, and how well the site performs. These tools are cookieless and collect only anonymized, aggregated data, such as page views, referrers, browser and device type, approximate (city or country level) location derived from your IP address, and performance metrics like page load speed. This data is never used to identify you personally, is not tied to a profile, is not used to track you across other sites, and is not sold.

The research page and its live stock ticker

The research page shows a scrolling ticker with real stock prices. Those prices come from a third-party market data provider (Finnhub), but your browser never talks to that provider. Your browser only ever requests an address on this site, and my own server fetches the prices and passes back the result. That means your IP address, browser, and location are not shared with the market data provider, and it cannot set cookies or track you through this site. The prices are public market data and have nothing to do with you, so no personal information is involved in either direction.

The research paper itself is a normal PDF hosted on this site. Opening or downloading it does not require an account, does not ask for any details, and is not tracked beyond the same anonymous, aggregate page analytics described above.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site works ever changes (for example, if I add a contact form or new features), I'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
